My wife and I have been married for 16 years. We have 1 son, 15 yo, and she has recently informed me that our marriage is finished, and she does not love me anymore. I have been a shitty husband, and probably deserve to lose her. I never cheated on her or anything, we just had a lousy sex life, partly ’cause she was overweight for many years, and I did not have a whole lot of sexual attraction for her during that time. She finally got fed up with the weight, but she got fed up w/ me at the same time. There is no easy way to tell a woman that you aren’t sexually attracted to her, so I made excuses for my disinterest… Tired, E.D. different BS. I did tried some offhand comments, that usually resulted in some really bad arguments, and lasting resentment. I still love my wife dearly, and want to stay married, but chances are slim. I pray nightly that she’ll take me back, and be able to love me again, so far she says no chance. I am a mobilized military reservist, getting ready to go on deployment. Does anyone have any advice on some way for me to handle this? This was the first marriage for both of us, and we both pretty much planned on staying married forever. I generally am not emotional, but this has me crying alot, ’cause regardless of all that has transpired, I love my wife, and want desperately to hang on to her.

My husband and I separated after I filled for an order of protection, he moved to another home we both own, closed our joint account, filed for divorce. The judge dropped the order of protection when my husband’s attorney said that we had continued to have sex after our separation. With the OofP gone, he began coming over, for days at a time, sometimes he would have me come to our “other home”…always for a pleasant time to include sex. Someone told me that he would now have to refile because of continued intimacy. Is that true in Arkansas?
In order to pay bills here, I withdrew money from my IRA. He has only paid for insurance on my vehicle and house. All other bills, I have had to pay. BTW, we were together for 3 years prior to marriage. I have not worked in 8 or 9 years. We are both 57 but were high school sweethearts. How can I stop the divorce without having to hire a high dollar attorney?
