can my marriage still be saved?

My husband and I have been married 13 years going on 17 years as a couple. over the years he always made me feel so insecure calling me names and beating me.. He is the only man I have loved I stuck by his side no matter what. in 10/2009 he bought a new truck and he calls it his chick magnet. He has made a trun for the worst, degrading me to his co-workes telling me he hates the sight of me. I know over the years I have accused him of cheating because he’s cheated at least a dozen times, he makes me feel so worthless when he does his name calling. i for one don’t call him names all I do is stay quiet. I ask myself how come he hurts me so bad when deep in my heart I have so much love for him, all it takes if for him to come give me a little hug and say sorry and i forgive him.. he is 36 yrs blad and kind of heavy, he is a medic, we live in a small town so he uses his profession as a way to find women. I don’t know if he is going through a mid life crisis cuz he’s getting older.he drives around town in this lifted black truck with his windows down even in the cold.. can you please help i have suggested marriage counsling but he says its over says i’ve kicked the dog too many times.
I just recovered from surgery on my achelles tendon rupture that he caused, he had kicked,slapped,punched, also busted my head open.. he is a paramedic. and the law is always on his side, i have no family where we live and i work full time in a urgent care clinc assisting with patients.
