No, I initiated a divorce two months ago and although it hurt like hell and I have been a complete wreck for two solid months, just the last two days I realised that I have made the right decision. Yes I love my soon to be ex husband, yes I am afraid of being alone, yes I have to start my life over completely from getting a job to making new friends BUT, I feel relieved to be unburdened of a marriage that is NEVER going to give me what I need, never going to make me happy and never going to work with a man who put me last. I deserve more and so do my family. Being in a marriage that is wrong or not working is not worth saving. Who the hell listens to Dr Phil about marriage advice anyway? He has cheated and humiliated his wife for years. Seriously people, it is better to go through the pain of a divorce then live in fear of being alone.
No. People divorce because there is something missing and it can’t be found nor fixed. I divorced my husband/boyfriend of 13 yrs and i delayed the divorce for about 3 yrs. I know that our marriage was over when i would get sick at my stomach when he would even touch me. I have recently remarried and this man is truly my soul mate. I think that if you and your spouse have discussed the issue of divorce then one of the two or both of you agree and putting it off only causes more problems to deal with.

I got divorced once, after trying everything and all what happened is, that I lost time, force and money on the attempt to save a rotten marriage.
Now I am married again for almost 10 years and everything is fine, as my husband and me have the same idea about what our life should be.
I simply think, that things, which start badly, will end worse…

I didn’t initiate the divorce, so I would have had no power to delay or stop it. It’s hard to say what I would have done had I been the one to initiate the divorce. But when I ask the other person if he’s willing to give it another chance and the answer is "no", I do not beg.
