My husband & I have been married for 10 years and we have two children together. The other day a woman at the gym (she was working out with him) told him that she has feelings for him. I shared my feelings with him about 6 months ago about them working out together. He told me that they were just friends. I did no trust her at all.. The other day she told him that she has feelings for him. He never told me till 2 days later that he has feelings for her as well. He has been telling me that he still loves me but he can not get her out of his head. She has been texting him ALOT! Now he is unsure if he wants to be with his family or this girl from the gym. I am suffering so much inside! We have had some discussions about this but he has told me that he is torn on what to do. Today he also said that he would like to seek help with a counselor. That is a step into the right direction, but he sleeps on the couch, doesn’t want me to ask him anything about the situation. He has also mentioned that he would like to be in a neutral place. So he might move in with a friend who is married for a little while. How can he be neutral when they are still communicating to one another on a daily basis? I feel like she is filling his head with what she wants and I am losing the man that I love with all my heart & soul. I will do whatever it takes to save my marriage. My children and my husband mean the world to me. I need some guidance..!
My husband as well as the "other" woman have said that nothing sexual has been done… I am more than willing to work on our marriage. He also wants to go to counseling alone. I am leaving him alone and letting him make his decision. At the same time, I feel so alone and miss everything about him. I feel like he is cheating on me, by doing what he is doing and still texting her all the time. Not sure if what I am doing is the right thing… There is some much love that I have for him and this whole ordeal is just killing me!
He says that he needs to go to the counselor alone. I don’t want to force going with him… but at the same time I would love to hear what he has to say. I have told him about the children, our family, and us… He has spoken to another one of our married friends who has gone through a similar situation.. He said that talking with them make him think about things.. I did meet with the other woman face to face and spoke with her. Her marriage is not working out for her and she wants to be with my husband. She has told him that she is filing for divorce and that she will be waiting for him. She told me that they were connected and that she knows that they should be together… My husband is still undecided about who he wants to be with… She is not showing my husband, myself or our family any respect by still talking to him. He is just as guilty in this too…

I am 22 and have been married since April, and things have seemed to be good until monday. On monday I went to work and when I got off my husband picked me up and I noticed he looked like somethin was botherin him. I asked him and he didn’t really seem to want to talk but he finally said he was unhappy and couldn’t be happy with me and has never been in love with me and things like that which noithing had happened between us so I didn’t understand. He said he married me to make me happy and he was tired of just makin me happy which from the way he talks to ppl about me it didn’t make since because he would tell them he loved me so much. I have a daughter which he loves, but now says he doesnt want a wife or children. Now he will not come home and wont talk to anyone including me and just gets mad at me because I want to save our marriage. I know its christmas time and that makes him stressed and he hasn’t had a job, which I just got him one, but I don’t know what to do about us. I want to save our marriage. To me divorce is not the answer. I am tryin my hardest not to tlk to him and let him cool off, but its so hard to go from seeing him every day and sleeping by him every night to not even talking. Any ideas on what to do to save this? Please no negative things I am very upset already. Also any ideas on what’s going on if you or someone u know has done something like this?

We are divorcing but it’s not finalized. I have received a heart breaking letter from my wife and so am considering to use this separation period as a trial to reconnect. I don’t know if it’s possible. I am confused about what I feels for her but I know that she is still loving me very much. Does anger confuse my feeling? If I don’t have any love left how do I start to reconnect? What do we need to make it work besides our forgiveness to each other. We also have a beautiful 13 year old daughter, can she help us out to reconnect, if so, how? Please help!!!
My wife is not leaving me, the divorce is my decision. I am not saying that nothing left in me, it might be the anger that confused my feeling.

We have been married for four wonderful years, the last two we have been trying so hard to get pregnant, it’s me not him. We have done fertility treatments, going back and forth to the doctor. He wants a baby more than anything, I would love to bring life into this world but not under these circumstances. Lately we argue about things that we don’t really need to argue about, these treatments have been putting stress on both of us. I can’t remember the last time we have had just a moment of intimacy when it’s been just about us. I’m suppose to go back to the doctor to give it another shot, but I suggested maybe we just stop for a while because it’s causing issues we got into a huge fight and he left. Please anything anyone can tell me. I’m only twenty-six so there is still time to have children, I don’t want to see my first marriage end.

I am in afghanistan right now on a deployment, i go on R&R in August and wont be done with the deployment until Feb 2011. My wife and i used to be so deeply in love and i still am but she says she loves me more like a friend now. it happened kind of suddenly one week she was telling me she loves me then goes on a trip to see an old friend. she is there for 2 days and comes back saying she kissed him and she didnt go there having feelings for him but left thinking that she does. when i found out it tore me apart, it felt like my heart was being ripped into pieces. i have to admit there have been a lot of bad times during our marriage of only 1 1/2 years but there have also been a lot of very very good times. we believed and i still believe we are soul mates. i havent been the best husband in the world and i have broken some promises to her that i hate myself for. i only want us to be happy and i told her that everything would be ok from now on. that when i got back everything was going to be like the moment we fell in love. she says she will try to believe me and will try to wait but doesnt know if she can wait that long for me. if anyone has ever been in this type of situation or has any advice on things i could do to help my marriage work out it would mean the world to me. i love my wife with all my heart and i dont want to lose her. thank you for any help.

Please help! I have been with husband for almost 5 years; we had a fight and I dont know if I shloud make the effort to save this or just divorce. I love him, but sometimes he is very offensive with me and I lost control of me and I slapped him. He fought back and hit me. I think is my fault because I started but he really hurt me (he is 6′ 200 pounds and I am 5′ 130 pounds) so he has more strenght than I do. We’re very young, been married for 2 yrs (together for 5), live 2700 miles from our family & friends, and are on a very restricted budget. With that being said, I need some advice on how to save my marriage… My husband is boring! He doesn’t want to go out and do stuff anymore. Dinner & a movie happens sometimes but gets really old, really fast. I suggest cheap or free things to try (since our financial situation sucks right now) but he’s not interested. I’m a very social person and he used to be too but for about 8 months, we’ve done nothing but sit in our house and watch tv or get drunk every weekend. Our sex life is good, but I feel so neglected because we aren’t connecting on any other level. I’m starting to resent him and I don’t want to leave but I’m really ready to moove back home without him so that I can get my life back… I know you guys might suggest me going out without him so I fulfill my "social needs", but the point is that I want to do stuff TOGETHER and he’s not interested.

We are a young couple (Im 26 he’s 27). Weve been married for a year and some change. We had little squabbles here and there like normal couples, but for the past month hes been acting strange. When I try to talk to him I get dismissed or a terse response. Whenever he wants sex (a lot) I feel like I have to say yes. And sex isnt even fun anymore b/c hes so aggressive. The other day we went out with a group of friends and I kinda embarrassed him (long story) but I made a semi public apology. On the way home he kept rehashing what happened. The arguement continued at home and things got physical when he pinned me against the wall and yelled at me like a child. I was so pissed, I made him sleep in the living room and gave him the silent treatment. Hes been trying to apologize but Im not having it. Anyway if things continue like this i know were headed for divorce. Ive tried talking to him in the past but he is so unresponsive. What should I do?

He thinks I hate him, we haven’t really talked in 2 days, he sleeps on the couch, it just gets worse everyday. here are some details he had alot of problems in the beginning of the marriage, he was a drunk, and a womanizer, I stuck by him because I knew he could change. Well he did, hasn’t had a drink in more than a year and the abuse has stopped. He thinks I always disrespect him when I say things to him but I’m just being honest with what I say. ihave tried to do everything he has asked for be sweet, nice dont worry about everything, but then he takes advangate of my kindness and makes me even more mad. I really want to save my marriage but I’m clueless, my mom just easily tells me to leave him but I dont want to I want to fix our problems, he just thinks he is perfect now and doesn’t do anything wrong. I know I do alot of things wrong but when I try to do right it goes unseen…I need some advice.
cheating isn’t something to worry about, we at least have trust.
