I have decided to save sex for marriage but all the kids at school think I’m having sex?

I am 16 and have decided to save sex for marriage but all the kids at school think I had sex with my ex boyfriend, which I didn’t. Everytime I try to tell people that I havn’t had sex they don’t believe me, not even my best friend. What should I do? Does it really matter that these people think I’ve had sex or not? Should I just let them think what they want to think I mean after all, it only really matters that my family, me and God know that I am still a virgin, right? Please help, thanks x
