If both people can walk away and feel that they have gained something, and not lost a part of themselves (or are in financial ruin). The best thing is when the parents can still have a good relationship when kids are involved. You know, one of those situations that are kinda like " We love each other, and our kids, but we can’t live together…" sort of thing.
I’ve seen it, and know that it’s possible.

Equal sharing of the kids with both people being easy going and reasonable about it. No smart ass remarks or resentment. Forgiveness and letting the other get on with their lives.

Also, the occasional mind-blowing sex like you never had when you were married..

    Mine!!!!!!! lol

Where both parties walk away, sell of all marital propeties and split proceeds equally. There are no regrets as to what has happened, no fighting, and both walk away with more knowledge about themselves than they ever thought was possible. Of course their is no financial destruction and plenty of financial gain!!!

I think a perfect divorce would be one that both parties grow and discover themselves better as well as understand others more fully.

I would say a perfect divorce would be that when you decide to get divorced to remain friends, because at one time in your relationship you thought the world of each other, if you didn’t you wouldn’t have got married. I think if you spent many years with each other and tons of wonderful memories, the least you could do is end it on a good note. Most divorces are horrible and you end up hating the person you loved at one time, so to me this would be the perfect divorce, because although you are divorced all the "happy" memories are still happy for you both, not ruined b/c you hate each other and hate everything "you guys" did as a couple.
