Why do certain people consider marriage to be the solution for life’s problems?

When they see you with a serious problem and they’re like, "go get a boyfriend". Wtf is that supposed to mean? For instance, you’re suffering from mental problems and trauma aand then they say, "go get a boyfriend". HOw the fuck is that supposed to help me?
Because you want help and these people are people who you respect….but you’re not so sure anymore.
